EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Muse continually works to identify qualified candidates with educational and industry experiences that will enhance the company’s existing resource base. Generally, new employees are based in our corporate headquarters located in Dallas, Texas, but regardless of permanent work location, Muse personnel from each company office are engaged to support client activities worldwide. Typical employment opportunities include full time positions for entry-level consultants, senior consultants, and financial analysts. Ideally, consulting candidates have 3 to 7 years of business experience in the energy sector in refining, gas processing, petrochemicals, power, energy transportation, or energy marketing divisions. Direct industry experience is preferred for financial analyst candidates.
As members of the Muse team, successful candidates are called upon to formulate independent analyses, participate as integral members of clients’ in-house staffs, and develop expert opinions related to asset transactions and business disputes. Typical projects include merger and acquisition advisory services, asset valuation, project development, due diligence for project finance, damage assessments, market studies, and business strategy development. Consulting candidates should have earned undergraduate degrees in engineering or science-related fields and a post-graduate degree in engineering, science or a MBA is preferred. Travel is required and could be up to 30 percent; however, extended assignments in excess of one week are not typical. Foreign travel is a possibility.
Muse analysts and consultants are assigned in teams of two to six individuals to address specific client needs. Project team assignments are made by the firm’s practice leaders who are responsible for coordinating with clients at the outset of any engagement to determine the resources required to complete specific assignments. Team members are often called upon to work on several team projects concurrently and may also be involved in the firm’s marketing activities including meeting with prospective clients, speaking at industry seminars, or authoring relevant articles for industry trade journals.
At Muse, your participation will matter. If you are creative, like to think outside of the traditional career box, and are motivated by the opportunity to make a difference each and every day, then a consulting career at Muse could be the right fit for you.
