Thai Petrochemical Industry Insolvency


Engaged to assist with the financial restructuring of Thai Petrochemical Industry (TPI). The assignment included operational assessments of plant performance, reviews of safety and maintenance practices, and evaluation of business planning procedures. Recommendations were provided to the court-appointed restructuring planner to support the reorganization of TPI’s debt structure.


Fair Market Assessment of a Romanian Petrochemical Complex


Conducted a fair market valuation of a major Romanian petrochemical facility based on competitive conditions in European petrochemical markets. The analysis included projected cash flow modeling based on historical plant performance and expected export profitability. A physical asset appraisal was also completed to support the valuation assessment.


Polystyrene Plant Development – India


Retained by the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) to serve as Independent Engineer for the development of a grassroots polystyrene facility in India. Services included evaluation of process technology, capital investment requirements, operating cost projections, environmental considerations, and monitoring of project execution and scheduling.


MTBE Project Feasibility Studies


Performed feasibility studies for MTBE production projects in the United States and the Middle East. Work included evaluation of feedstock supply projections for butane and methanol, product demand forecasts, and technical assessments of process technologies offered by leading licensors, including UOP, ABB Lummus, Phillips Petroleum, and Snamprogetti.
