Muse consultants have significant experience evaluating pipeline transportation systems and terminal infrastructure supporting crude oil, refined products, and natural gas markets. Our work includes logistics analysis, asset valuation, capacity optimization, and infrastructure development planning across global energy markets.

The following engagements illustrate Muse’s experience advising clients on pipeline and terminal operations and investment opportunities.

Saudi Arabian Fuel Oil Logistics

Evaluated the economic and logistical feasibility of proposed fuel oil distribution systems in Saudi Arabia. The study included analysis of existing bulk plants, pipeline networks, and port terminal infrastructure, as well as identification of required new facilities and optimization of product logistics.

U.S. Refined Products Pipeline System Modeling

Developed and maintain a comprehensive linear programming model of the U.S. refined products pipeline distribution network. The model has been used to support clients evaluating system expansions, capital investment opportunities, and tariff development across major pipeline corridors.

Argentine Products Terminal Evaluation

Conducted a technical inspection and operational evaluation of a petroleum products terminal in Buenos Aires on behalf of a prospective buyer. The assessment included analysis of storage tanks, utility systems, truck loading infrastructure, and marine terminal facilities.

South American Crude Oil Terminal Assessment

Evaluated a crude oil terminal near Montevideo, Uruguay, and identified the capital modifications required to convert the facility into a dual import/export terminal capable of handling both crude oil and heavy fuel oil.

Eastern European Products Terminal Optimization

Inspected and evaluated a refined products terminal in Eastern Europe for a European client. The engagement included recommendations to increase system capacity and improve operational efficiency across the facility.

U.S. Gasoline Terminal Valuation

Provided fair market valuation of two U.S. gasoline terminals as part of U.S. Bankruptcy Court proceedings. The assets included light product storage tanks, barge docks, pipeline connections, and truck loading racks.
