The following engagements highlight Muse’s experience providing expert analysis and advisory support in regulatory and litigation matters.


Valuation of Overriding Royalty Interest – Equatorial Guinea


Retained to evaluate the methodology used by an offshore operator to determine the market value of natural gas liquids and condensate exported from Equatorial Guinea. The engagement included auditing historical royalty payments and assessing the fair market value of produced hydrocarbons.


Gas Processing Contract Dispute – Texas Panhandle


Engaged to evaluate gas settlement accounting under an existing processing agreement and determine damages owed to a natural gas producer. Muse prepared an independent valuation of the damages and supported the producer in negotiations that resulted in the recovery of the outstanding amounts and the restructuring of the gas processing contract.


Workout Advisory – Syndicated Bank Debt, Southwestern United States


Advised creditors during the financial restructuring of a crude oil gathering and marketing company operating alongside a merchant refinery. The engagement included evaluation of pipeline and trucking operations, system inventory, contract structures, and risk management practices, along with a detailed economic analysis of historic and projected profitability.


Ethylene Plant Development Dispute – U.S. Gulf Coast


Provided expert consulting support to legal counsel in a dispute involving the development and construction of a grassroots ethylene facility. The assignment focused on the commercial and technical implications of plant design, project execution, and operational performance.


Expert Testimony – Major U.S. Bankruptcy Proceeding


Prepared valuation analysis and provided expert testimony regarding the enterprise value of a multinational energy company involved in one of the largest bankruptcy proceedings in U.S. history. The analysis included discounted cash flow modeling and comparable company valuation methodologies.
